Fluting Carried Across Two Panels
Wide closet openings are where most sliding doors give up. A single slab gets unwieldy past a certain width, and two ordinary doors on a bypass track just look like two ordinary doors. The Fluted Bypass solves it by running the same vertical reeding across both panels so the pattern reads continuous and the seam between them is nearly the only interruption.
In a deep stain the flutes go almost to black in the valleys and pick up red in the crowns, and the whole opening reads as a single fluted wall that happens to slide apart.
It is the widest door in our lineup by design. This is the one for a reach-in closet, a long linen wall, or a laundry alcove that needs to disappear when it is closed.
Design Details
Pattern Across the Seam
Both panels carry identical reeding, sized and aligned so the closed opening reads as one continuous fluted surface.
Bypass Track
The panels pass each other rather than swinging or stacking, so you never surrender floor space or wall to a door in motion.
Deep Stain, Deep Shadow
A dark finish exaggerates the valleys between ribs and turns the face into a run of vertical lines rather than a wood panel.
Built for the Widest Openings
Sized for the openings that defeat a single slab. Two panels, one visual field, no compromise on the pattern.
Two Doors, Same Bench, Same Day
A bypass pair only works if the two panels match, which means they are milled from the same stock, in the same run, and finished together. We do not pull two doors off a shelf and hope. Both panels are built to your opening in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, from solid wood, and both are covered by our lifetime warranty.
